It’s happened again.
After a football season where Oklahoma State fans had to suffer through six pre-noon kick-offs, the basketball team is now getting the early tips.
The NCAA has released the game times for all 32 first round games. The 10-seeded Cowboys will tip-off against 7-seed Michigan at 11:15 a.m. CT on Friday, March 17th. That makes this the first game of the day, which means all march madness eyes will be on the match-up of the No. 1 and No. 5 scoring offenses in the country.
Just a few days ago, OSU got the 11:30 a.m. tip-off in the Big 12 tournament, a game where they lost to Iowa State and didn’t look great in the first half.
It’s said that with early tips, the team that wakes up the best and the most energized, is the team that wins. If that’s the case, I hope Underwood has the whole team asleep early and ready to go on Friday morning, because they are going to be going up against a better offense than they faced in the Cyclones.
The Cowboys’ game will be broadcast on CBS with Jim Nantz and Grant Hill handling the play-by-play, Bill Raftery on analysis, and Tracy Wolfson reporting.
