Oklahoma State Basketball is Getting New Uniforms

The CRFF crew debates what the new uniforms could and should look like

NCAA Basketball: Oklahoma State at Iowa State Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports

As if a return to the Big Dance wasn’t enough to excite the Cowboy fan base, this news came from Head Coach Brad Underwood earlier today.

This was the actual reaction of everyone at CRFF.

Oklahoma State started wearing their current uniforms in the 2012-13 season, a year after the football team unveiled their last set of uniforms.

The news got us talking on the CRFF Slack chat about what we could see next season.

Underwood has mentioned before that he wants to see the old cursive Cowboy logo back.. which means we very well could next fall. Many of us in the chat are hoping that’s the case. Carson Cunningham of KOCO agrees.

Cade: I bet we go block letters like on our court.

Tyler: I may be in the minority thinking the jerseys we have now are good. This may be because I have only seen them 3-4 years. They are still fresh to me.

Not there’s anything wrong with the current uniforms, but we all agreed it’s time for a change.

Ouch. Burn OU. Sumer also brought up paisley.

Sumer: That would be cool if the paisley was in that back mesh part that's on most Nike jerseys. Instead of that weird pattern.

I’d like to find an example but... I got nothing.

Micah: Can we just wear our Native American appreciation uniforms all the time? (The teal ones) I love those.

They’re great, but we’d have to change our school color.

Then there was my the unpopular take of Oklahoma State trying out different colored jerseys and shorts, ala Michigan in the Big 10 tournament.

Seriously though, orange on top and black on bottom would orange detailing would look SO SWEET.

Ok, so what do you all think? Leave your thoughts in the comments section below!
