Oklahoma State fans know how good point guard Jawun Evans and guard Jeffrey Carroll have been this year.
It looks like the national media is starting to catch on.
On Tuesday, Yahoo Sports released their list of the 68 Best Players in the 2017 NCAA Tournament, and two Cowboys made the cut. Evans came in at No. 11, while guard Jeffrey Carroll ranked No. 54.
The article describes Evans as OSU’s “spark plug.”
Evan, who leads Oklahoma State in points and assists per game, often has his game compared to Chris Paul. No, no one is saying he’s as good as Paul, but it’s a solid comparison.
The article also describes Carroll as one of the most improved players of the year.
Those 17.4 points and 6.6 rebounds a game are way up from last season, when he averaged 8.2 points and 4 rebounds a game.
Oklahoma State’s first round opponent Michigan also had a player make the list; Guard Derrick Walton. As was mentioned in the Michigan breakdown, Walton is definitely a player to watch!
