So much for a quiet off-season
After just one season with Oklahoma State, Brad Underwood is leaving Stillwater to become the head coach at Illinois.
In fact, he’s already there.

Our @holcombOKBLITZ just confirms Underwood is indeed heading to Illinois to take the Head Coaching position @NewsOn6

In his one, and now only year, at Oklahoma State, Underwood led the Cowboys to a 20-13 record and first round exit in the NCAA Tournament.
Underwood made a little more than $1 million this season and is expected to more than double his salary with the Illini.
This is a huge blow for Cowboy fans, who were just starting to get invested in the program again. There will be a lot of speculation over the next few days over what led to this decision. Fingers are going to be pointed, especially at Holder.
Brad Underwood lasted 362 days at #OKState. Blame has to fall on Mike Holder not getting a deal done early.

Whoever is to blame, the clock is now ticking for Holder to find a replacement.
It’s going to take a while to get over this one.
