It looks like Doug Gottlieb is one step closer to his dream of becoming the head basketball coach at Oklahoma State.
According to ESPN’s Jeff Goodman, Gottlieb will get an interview for the position tomorrow.

This is unlike last year, when Gottlieb openly campaigned for the job but never received an interview.
Gottlieb has been vocal in his efforts to coach the Cowboys since it was announced that Brad Underwood was bailing on the team to head to Illinois.

Gottlieb also campaigned or the position last year before Underwood was hired. While we’ve heard no other updates on who Oklahoma State has interviewed, one could assume this hiring process could be drawn out with the addition of Gottlieb into the mix.
This update comes moments after it was announced that Gottlieb was joining Fox Sports 1, news made official on FS1’s The Herd with Colin Cowherd.

It was announced yesterday that Gottlieb was leaving CBS, the network he’s been at sine 2012.
If Gottlieb doesn’t get the OSU job, he’ll officially move his radio show, “The Doug Gottlieb Show” to FS1 on April 24th. It will air Monday through Friday from 2-5 p.m. CT on Fox Sports Radio and iHeartRadio. He will also serve as a basketball analyst for FS1 and contribute to shows like Skip and Shannon: Undisputed, and The Herd with Colin Cowherd as well as others.
