If you missed it on Sunday, there was a scary moment in the Cowboys’ series finale against TCU.
In the bottom of the sixth inning, Jon Littell was forced to leave the game after he collided with Garrett McCain in the outfield while going for a fly ball.

You can see Littell make the catch, but drops the ball when the two hit. After a couple of seconds, McCain was able to pick the ball and barehand it back toward the infield.
Littell exited the game after the collision, and according to Nathan Ruiz of The O’Colly, left the stadium shortly after the inning to receive medical attention.
According to Ruiz, Littell is now recovering, with an injured shoulder and cut lip.

The junior left fielder is having a solid season, batting .308 with 21 RBIs and 13 runs scored so far.
While sitting out Tuesday’s game against Wichita State isn’t ideal, it’s good to see his injury wasn’t more severe. The Cowboys have had to deal with a lot of injuries this season, which have played a role in their 15-9 record this season.
As far as McCain, he remained in the game. He was dealing with some soreness to his face and head, but according Ruiz, he should be able to play Tuesday.
Let’s all hope for a quick recovery for Littell.
