Mark Rogers talked with 2018 Oklahoma State commit Spencer Sanders last week. The four-star dual-threat QB committed to the Cowboys on Oct. 1, 2016.

In the interview, Sanders explained why he chose to ride with the Cowboys.

“My whole family went through [Oklahoma State],” Spencer said. “Plus, I went to a couple games this year and I really liked it. I like how they run their offense. I really like what Coach Gundy does and how he [and the rest of the staff] takes care of the athletes.”

Sanders said he will fit in nicely with the Cowboys’ offensive system because it is the same system they run in Denton, TX at Ryan High School.

“I feel like my athleticism can sometimes if I need to extend a play I can,” Sanders said. “[The offense] is very spread out. If I need to pull it down and run on the passing play, I can do that.”

You can watch the rest of the interview here. It’s 4:30 of high-profile interview from a born-and-raised, loyal-and-true Cowboy.

Last season, Spencer led his team to a 14-1 record before being injured and having to watch his team get knocked out of the playoffs.

He accounted for an incredible 3,291 yards and 38 TDs in the air and 1,099 yards and 18 TDs on the ground last year.
