Mike Boynton didn’t just hit the the ground running after being introduced as OSU’s new basketball coach, he went at a full sprint.
After a trip to Miami this morning to lock down the commitment of 2017 4-star point guard Zack Dawson, Boynton and new Associate Head Coach Lamont Evans headed to Orlando to offer 2018 small forward Nassir Little.

Little, a 6-foot-6, 195-pound small forward from Orlando Christian Prep is listed as a 4-star recruit on Rivals. He’s ranked as a top 40 player in the country by most of the recruiting sites.
He has offers from more than two dozen schools including blue bloods like Duke, North Carolina, Kansas, and Louisville. According to 247Sports, Little is likely leaning toward staying close to home at either Florida or Florida State.
OSU might be a long shot to land Little, but it’s good to see Boynton being aggressive in going after top rated players, especially on his first day on the job. And considering both Boynton and Evans are known to be good recruiters, maybe landing Little isn’t as crazy as we think.
Whatever happens, in the meantime, check out some of his highlights.
