It’s not every day that you have both a men’s and a women’s team that are consistently ranked in the top 10 in the same sport. Oklahoma State tennis has done just that.
The men’s team is currently seventh in nation, according to slam.tennis. They have held this spot they’ve held since dropping from fifth the week of March 20. The men have kept a spot in the top ten since the week of Feb. 13. Currently they sit behind fellow Big 12 team Texas, as well as USC, North Carolina, Ohio State, Wake Forest and Virginia. Baylor, UCLA and Texas A&M round out the top ten.
The women’s team has also continued to impress. They currently hold the sixth spot in the nation on slam.tennis. They sit behind ITA champions Florida, North Carolina, Ohio State, Stanford and Georgia. Big 12 opponent Texas Tech, California, Vanderbilt and Michigan round out the top ten. The Cowgirls have held their spot in the top 10 since Feb. 6.
The Cowboys start Big 12 play this weekend welcoming No. 15 TCU on Friday and No. 6 Texas on Sunday. The Cowboys are a on a nine-match winning streak and are currently 17-3 on the season.
All-Americans Julian Cash and Arjun Kadhe return to play doubles and Lucas Gerch will take the court in singles. Gerch did this this last week:

The Cowgirls currently hold a 14-3 record and are on a six match win streak. They opened Big 12 play last weekend with a 4-0 win over Texas.
Katarina Adamovic, Viktoriya Lushkova and Carla Tur Mari all should be the names to look for this weekend for the Cowgirls this weekend. All three Cowgirls have multiple All-Americans between them. Lushkova has a team-leading 91 wins during here time in Stillwater.
Meanwhile the Red Raiders are 16-3 and are on a nine-match win streak. Alba Cortina-Pou has the best record in singles on the team at 3-1. The team of Sarah Dvorak and Sabrina Federici with a record of 10-7 lead the team in doubles.
It should be a great weekend of tennis.
