The Cowboy Football team got back to work today. With only 180 days left until the season starts, it’s time to talk Cowboy football.
But before spring practice got underway, Head Coach Mike Gundy held a press conference where he talked about the team.
“The Culture that we have created here has been very positive,” Gundy said. “and very successful.”
Gundy also talked about new freshman quarterback Jelani Woods saying that he could be up to 270 to fill his 6-7 frame. That’s exciting! Just look at his size!

Speaking of quarterbacks, Gundy mentioned, he wants to develop a “JW package” for a backup QB, and included Kolar and Woodtee as contenders. It worked well last time, perhaps it could work again.
He also gave an update on Marcell Ateman saying the receiver would play, after missing all of the 2016 season with an injury.
“He's full go. He'll fall in that same category as Washington and Mason." Gundy said.
One of things noticed today was the move of Ramon Richards from cornerback to safety.

Gundy said the move was to make sure that some other players get time at cornerback.
You can watch Gundy’s full presser here. If you have some time to kill, I suggest watching it.

The Cowboys looked to be working hard, looking to continue the success of a 10 win season last year:
