Some huge news for the Oklahoma State basketball team.
Miami of Ohio transfer guard Michael Weathers announced this morning that he will transfer to Stillwater.

This is a HUGE get for Mike Boynton and Co. Weathers was the MAC Freshman of the Year, after leading his team in scoring with 16.7 points per game to go along with 4.8 assists and 4.2 rebounds.
As a transfer, Weathers will have to sit out a year, but adding someone with his talent to the roster certainly won’t hurt.
The announcement coming this early is a little surprising, considering Weathers wasn’t set to make his first official visit to Stillwater until later this month.
Miami-Ohio transfer Michael Weathers (16.7 ppg) told ESPN visiting Nevada on 14th, Arkansas on 17th, Xavier on 20th, Oklahoma State on 25th.

Obviously, hiring Weather’s former coach John Cooper as an assistant has something to do with landing the star guard. The next question, is what Michael’s twiin brother Marcus will do. Marcus, is a 6-5 small forward who averaged 9.7 points (third best on the team) and 6.0 rebounds per game. He chose to transfer from Miami of Ohio with his brother, though there is no word at this time where he is leaning on playing.
