The ‘Ships are coming to Stillwater.
The NCAA announced the cities it was awarding hosting duties to for a multitude of sports over the next six years. Stillwater greatly benefitted from the announcement, as Oklahoma State was named the host school for six NCAA Championships and four NCAA Regionals.
We're proud to announce that we'll be an #ncaahost for 2018 M/W Golf, 2020 M/W Tennis and 2020 M/W Cross Country, along with some regionals! pic.twitter.com/gQz4MxJ5ix

This is huge news for two OSU programs on the rise; cross country and tennis. This will be the first time in school history the men’s or women’s teams in either sport will play host to the championships.
The Men’s Cross Country team has become something of a powerhouse in recent years winning three national titles between 2009 and 2012. The women’s program continues to be one to watch.
OSU Cross Country will host a men’s and women’s regional in 2019, then the men’s and women’s championships in 2020.
As for tennis, both the men and women squads are currently ranked in the top-10 in the country. The women, as you may remember, were national runners-up last season.
OSU Tennis will host the men’s and women’s championships in 2020. It was nice the Cowgirls were very excited to hear.
We're very excited to be hosting the 2020 NCAA Championships at the GTC! Check out our video of the announcement. #okstate pic.twitter.com/nAcqyh95SG

As for golf, Oklahoma State is no stranger to hosting NCAA events, especially after Karsten Creek was finished in 1994. OSU hosted the men’s national championships previously in 1973, 2003, and 2011. They will host it again next season. OSU will also host the women’s national championship next season, a first for the school.
Oklahoma State will also host a men’s regional in 2021 and a women’s regional in 2022.
If you add in the news that the BOK Center in Tulsa will host first and second round games of March Madness in 2019, and that Oklahoma City continues to host the Softball NCAA Championships, it’s a good time to be a sports fan in the state of Oklahoma!
