Late Friday evening, Oklahoma State and Coach Mike Boynton got some huge news when Cal State Northridge graduate transfer point guard Kendall Smith announced he was transferring to OSU.
He will be join the Cowboys as the third point guard on the roster, alongside sophmore Brandon Averette and incoming freshman Zach Dawson.
Don’t worry though, according to Mark Cooper of the Tulsa World, there will be plenty of ball to go around.
Smith and Brandon Averette should share the point for #okstate in 2017-18. Freshman Zack Dawson can also play both guard spots. https://t.co/oYU3bFTVnA

As a grad transfer, Kendall Smith is immediately eligible to help the Cowboys. Considering the youth at the position, his experience is quite valuable, especially when you see what he brings to the table offensively.
He set career highs in points (16.7), assists (4.8), and rebounds (4.0) per game.
At 6’3”, Smith brings an athletic, rangey frame to the Cowboy backcourt. Him, Zack Dawson (6’4”) and Jeffrey Carroll (6’6”) should make life difficult on opposing offenses.
