Postseason tennis is here.
After great seasons by both the men’s and women’s tennis programs, both will get to host NCAA regional events in Stillwater. This will be the second straight year for both teams to play host.
MEN
The Cowboys were named the No. 11 overall seed for the NCAA tournament, and awarded a regional for the second straight year. This will also be the fourth straight season OSU has made an NCAA regional.
OSU will welcome UMKC, Drake, and No. 25 Illinois to Stillwater for matches on Friday, May 12 and Saturday, May 13. The Cowboys will open against the Jackrabbits on Friday. OSU beat UMKC in a meeting earlier this season in Stillwater, 7-0. The winner of the first two matches will face off on Saturday.

The boys have put together a solid season, with a 21-6 record that includes wins over 11 ranked opponents, four of which were in the top-10. They finished second in the Big 12 first first time in 20 years, and ranked No. 8 in the nation.
WOMEN
The Cowgirls were awarded the No. 9 overall seed and will host first and second round games in Stillwater for the third year in a row. This will also be the sixth straight year the girls have made the NCAA tournament.

OSU will welcome Wichita State, Arkansas, and UMKC to Stillwater for games on Saturday, May 13 and Sunday, May 14. Like the men, the Cowgirls will open against UMKC on Saturday. The winners of the first two matches will face off on Sunday.
The Cowgirls are 22-5 on the season and coming off a loss in the Big 12 title game. They are a perfect 10-0 at home and have won 32 straight matches at the Greenwood Tennis Center.
As much attention as we pay to the big three sports (football, basketball, baseball) it’s good to know that other OSU programs not only compete, but are some of the best in the nation.
It should be an exciting weekend for OSU fans with both the men and women in action Mar 13-15. If you can get to Stillwater for a match or two, do so.
All-Session tickets for both the men and women regionals go on sale Wednesday morning at 8 a.m. by phone at 877-255-4678 or the OSU Athletics ticket office only. Individual day tickets will be available one hour prior to the first match of each day.
