Gambling lines for individual college football games don’t come out until the week of a game. However, this year you can bet on some extra early lines for some games.
Odds Shark and South Point Casino in Vegas released some early lines for many of the opening weekend games and some of the biggest games of the season.
That includes a few of Oklahoma State’s games.
9/01 | Oklahoma State -17 over Tulsa
Odds Shark as Oklahoma State as a 17 point favorite in their season opener over the Golden Hurricane. OSU and Tulsa are coming off 10-3 seasons. While this could end up being a sneaky-good game between two quality offenses, I think Cowboy fans would be surprised to see OSU win by less than three scores, but you never know what can happen in a season opener. Ruling: Bad bet
9/16 | Oklahoma State -4.5 over Pittsburgh
OSU had a close game with Pitt last season in Stillwater winning 45-38. With all OSU is returning and the number of weapons Pitt lost, I’d expect OSU to win by a larger margin than 4.5 points. Ruling: Good bet
10/28 | Oklahoma State -5 over West Virginia
The Cowboys will travel to Morgantown this year, where they are 1-1 since the Mountaineers joined the league. West Virginia, like a number of Big 12 teams this year, are expected to be good, but have a lot of questions marks heading into the season. As well as WVU usually plays OSU, I’m surprised to see the margin this large this early. Ruling: Bad bet
11/04 | Oklahoma State +1 to Oklahoma
Of course the Sooners are favored, they’re the favorites to win the Big 12. However, at only a one point favorite, this is essentially a toss up. Ruling: ???
Oklahoma State should be favored in most if not all of their games next season, especially early in the season. If OSU is getting 17 against Tulsa, I can’t wait to see the line for the Kansas and Texas Tech games.
If I was a betting man, I’d like that line against Pitt. I don’t think OSU blows them out, but I do think they win by at least a touchdown.
So what do you think about the odds? Based on these numbers, which game would you put your money on today?
