What a week it has been for the Oklahoma State football program.
They landed three recruits earlier this week including a four-star wide receiver. The 2018 class was named the best in the Big 12 by multiple recruiting sites.
Now, Mike Gundy and Co. pick up their fourth commitment in five days, in 2018 3-star outside linebacker Kolby Peel.

In his announcement on Twitter, Peel wrote
“To start, I would like to thank everyone who has been a part of my recruiting process. My friends, my coaches, and more importantly, both my Mother and my Father. I would also like to thank every program, along with their respective coaching staff for giving me the opportunity to further my education, as well as my career in football. After careful consideration, I’ve made the decision to officially announce my commitment to Oklahoma State University. Go Pokes!!”
At 6-foot-0, 209 pounds, Peel plays safety and outside linebacker for A&M Consolidated in College Station, TX. He will likely play the star linebacker position for Oklahoma State. Last season he totaled 79 tackles including five tackles for loss, one forced fumble, and two interceptions.
He chose the Cowboys over offers from eight other schools including Kansas, Iowa State, Minnesota, Indiana, SMU, and others.
Peel is the 11th commit of the 2018 class, and the first safety. His commitment pushed the Cowboys class from 15th to 12th at 247Sports.
Check out his HUDL highlights below for a taste of what he will bring to the Cowboys.
If Oklahoma State keeps up the pace, they are set up for a historic recruiting class, per Kevin Klintworth, the senior associate athletic director at OSU.
At this rate, @CowboyFB is going to end the summer with 195 commitments. It would be the largest class in school history. #okstate
