Oklahoma State Fans Think Thunder Will Draft Jawun Evans

OKC is the overwhelming favorite in our twitter poll

NCAA Basketball: Oklahoma State at Kansas Denny Medley-USA TODAY Sports

The 2017 NBA Draft begins tonight at 6:00 p.m. and Oklahoma State point guard Jawun Evans is expected to hear his name called before the end of the night.

While the “experts” have a lot of ideas on where they think the former All-Big 12 First Teamer will land, Oklahoma State fans overwhelmingly believe that Evans will end up in Thunder blue next season.

More than half of the 404 votes went to Oklahoma City. Most of the comments we got were pro-Thunder as well.

“I want Evans on the Thunder" - @Joshoflsh

“He better be drafted by OKC AND stay with OKC, meaning OKC doesn't trade pick” - @Loganwhitson_OS

“I would love for him to be on OKC, question is if he can be flexible enough to not be PG.” - @ThaJakeperson

“I hope Thunder First Round”- Ryan Wilson

(side note: I really wish some of you who voted “other” had bothered to offer up who you thought might draft him. Come on guys.)

Look, I get that there is a real possibility this could happen. Cade even broke down the likelihood earlier today. But do that many people really think OKC drafts Evans? Or is that just what we would all love to see?

There’s no way to know for sure. The Thunder and GM Sam Presti ALWAYS play the draft very close to the vest. Thunder fans know anything could happen tonight.

Don’t get me wrong, I think he would make a great backup point guard behind Russell Westbrook. He would be like Reggie Jackson without the ego. I just don’t know if this is the move they make.

We don’t have too much longer to wait to find out. I for one hope the 230 people who voted OKC get their wish.
