There aren’t many things better than seeing a military family reunited after one comes home from a lengthy deployment.
Rickie Fowler got to be a part of one of those today.
Sergeant First Class Bryane Green has been serving our country for three and a half years. Watching his son run to him and leap into his arms put a smile on my face.
Fowler was part of a star-studded group for the annual Pro-Am round at the Quicken Loans National. Joining OSU’s own was Cleveland Cavaliers guard JR Smith, ESPN NFL Insider Adam Schefter and Bill Emerson, the vice chair of QL/Rock Holdings, all teed up together.
Smith spoke of the reunion after the round.
The first round of the QL National tees off Thursday morning. Fowler will tee off of Hole 10 with Adam Hadwin and Mark Leishman at 8:21 a.m. EST. Friday’s round will begin on Hole 1 at 1:21 p.m. EST for Fowler and his other two group members.
Welcome home Sgt. 1st Class Greene. Thank you for your service.
