After spending a season overseas, former Oklahoma State guard Markel Brown will return to the states to play for an NBA team again this summer. Brown will play for the Oklahoma City Thunder’s summer league team in Orlando.

This will give the Thunder a chance to watch Brown and decide whether or not they would be interested in signing him for a spot on the team during the regular season.
Brown averaged 17.2 points per game during his last season with the Cowboys. That same season Brown had a .473 field goal percentage and .768 free-throw percentage.
He was drafted in 2014 and spent two seasons with the Brooklyn Nets. During his time with the Nets he averaged just 5.3 points and 1.2 assists per game.
Brown spent the last year overseas playing for the Russian team BC Khimki where he averaged 5.2 points, 1 assist and 2.6 rebounds.
Brown will play in the Orlando Magic League. The Thunder’s first game will be against Detroit on Saturday, July 1st at 4 p.m central. You can watch it on the NBA network.
