When Oklahoma State takes the field this season, it will do so without an FCS opponent on the schedule. Now it looks like this season will be an outlier instead of a new norm.
According to FBSSchedules, the Cowboys have added Missouri State to the 2018 schedule and McNeese State to the 2019 schedule.
Oklahoma State will host Missouri State at Boone Pickens Stadium in Stillwater on Sept. 1, 2018. The Bears will receive a $400,000 guarantee.
McNeese State will visit Boone Pickens Stadium on Sept. 7, 2019. The Cowboys from Lake Charles, Louisiana will receive a $475,000 guarantee for the game.
Missouri State is a member of the Missouri Valley Football Conference and went 4-7 last season. OSU is 7-0 all time against the Bears. They last faced off in 2014 in a game the Cowboys won 40-23.
McNeese State competes in the Southland Conference where they went 6-5 last season. This will be the first time the Cowboys of OSU and the Cowboys of McNeese State will face off on the gridiron.
With the addition of these two games, Oklahoma State’s non-conference schedules are now complete thru 2021. Joining Missouri State in 2018 are home games against South Alabama (09/08) and Boise State (09/15). The 2019 schedule will feature a road trips to Oregon State (08/31) and Tulsa (09/14) and the home game against McNeese State.
