Oklahoma State Adds 3-Star Wide Receiver to ‘18 Recruiting Class

Jonathan Shepherd, a 6’4 receiver out of Kilgore, TX, decides to take his talents to Stillwater, OK.

They don’t call us #WideReceiverU for nothing. Coach Gundy and Co. secured a commitment from 3-star wide receiver, Jonathan Shepherd, on Thursday afternoon.

Shepherd received fifteen D-1 offers, and chose Oklahoma State over schools such as TCU, Texas Tech, New Mexico, Missouri, SMU and Memphis. Shepherd was slightly hidden inside the run-dominant offense at Kilgore, catching only 17 passes for 260 yards and 3 touchdowns.

Even without massive high school stats, it’s easy to see how the Oklahoma State coaches fell in love with this kid’s potential. At 6’4 195lbs, Jonathan Shepherd looks to be the next “go up and get it” receiver in the Oklahoma State arsenal.
