Israel Mukuamu announced his final four schools tonight. Joining Oklahoma State are Indiana, Florida State, and South Carolina.
“I would like to thank all the schools that offered me a scholarship to play football and believed in my talents and abilities. However, I have decided to focus on the four schools listed below. I will be committing July 24th @Berkeley High School.”
Mukuamu is a 6-foot-4, 190-pound, safety prospect out of Bossier City, Louisiana. He’s rated as a 3-star prospect by 247Sports and Scout, but has received a 4-star rating from Rivals. He had previously released his top-9 just a couple weeks ago and has since cut Florida, Louisville, Georgia State, Ole Miss, and Purdue from the list.
In a previous interview with Scout, Mukuamu said the Cowboys were pushing hard to land him.
"One of the first schools to show interest in me when I first moved down here to Louisiana. They want me to come in and play a big-time role in that strong safety spot like their strong safety right now Tre Flowers is doing.”
Florida State got into the race late but has pushed hard to land Mukuamu. He attended camp and made an unofficial visit to Tallahassee last month. As of now 247Sports has the Seminoles as the overwhelming favorites to land him.
Mike Gundy and Co. are going to have to work hard if they want to land the talented prospect.
