Oklahoma state conference play with the West Virginia Mountaineers in Gallagher-Iba on Dec.19. The Pokes went 1-1 against West Virginia in 2016 after losing their home game then winning in Morgantown.
Notable Dates:
December 29: For the second season in a row, Oklahoma State will welcome West Virginia into Gallagher-Iba Arena to open the season. It didn’t go well last year, so maybe the fortune will be different this time around.
January 3rd/20th: The Pokes head to Norman on Jan. 3 to take on Oklahoma in the first of two games this season. Just under three weeks later, the Cowboys will welcome the Sooners into the hallowed halls of Gallagher-Iba Arena. It’ll be weird to have the Bedlam series done and over with so early.
January 6: Oklahoma State will get the home game against Iowa State out of the way early this year. It’s a long gap between the home and road game, which will take place on Feb. 27.
March 3: It seems like the last conference game has been against Kansas for the last few years, and this year is no different. The final conference game of the year will be in Stillwater, as the Pokes will welcome the Kansas Jayhawks to town.
Notes:
- Every Oklahoma State Big 12 game will be nationally televised. That’s the fourth straight year each conference game will be televised nationally.
- Season tickets are on sale for less than $14/game, which seems like a pretty sweet deal. No more “ticket prices are too high” excuses.
- The schedule seems pretty spread out. Even though the Big 12 is an absolute meat grinder, it seems like it sets up nicely for the Pokes. That’ll help as the young Cowboys should be able to get their feet under them during the gauntlet.
