It may feel like the college football season has just begun, but the conference schedule is already upon us, as Oklahoma State and TCU headline the Big 12 this week. This game will show us just how for real both of these teams are, and for Oklahoma State, it could be a chance to reclaim the top spot in our weekly Big 12 Power Rankings. There won’t be much Oklahoma can do to impress against Baylor, so the stage is set for Oklahoma State to show a national audience how good this team really is. With a dominating win over TCU, maybe Oklahoma State jumps Oklahoma in our Power Rankings, but for now, this is how the list shakes out after three weeks. As always, leave us your Big 12 Power Rankings in the comment section below.
CRFF Week 3 Big 12 Power Rankings
#10 Baylor
0-9 is not only possible, it’s likely — Cory Landes
#9 Kansas
I don’t have much to say about the Jayhawks, but I do know their matchup against Baylor is going to be EPIC — Gallagher Martin
#8 Iowa State
*whispers* This offense may be for real. The Cyclones have scored 124 points in the first three games, including 41 points against Iowa. The defense has been less-than-stellar, but it’s enough to get them out of the cellar for now — Tyler Wiederhoeft
#7 Texas
The Longhorns may be 1-2, but it’s not the worst losses. They lost by 10 to 2-0 Maryland, then took the No. 4-ranked USC Trojans to overtime before losing by a field goal. They aren’t great, but it’s not like they lost to Kansas again (yet) — Tyler Wiederhoeft
#6 Texas Tech
We still don't know what this team is except what it always has been — an offensive juggernaut paired with a defense that can make any opposing offense look good. Really good — Brodie Smith
#5 Kansas State
It doesn’t look good for Kansas State now, but I think most of us expect Bill Snyder’s bunch to rebound and still look competitive in the Big 12 — Gallagher Martin
#4 West Virginia
They might have a loss, but other than that WVU has looked dang good. That game in Morgantown probably has me the most worried — Micah Allen
#3 TCU
This week we will see how good the Horned Frogs’ defense really is and if they deserve that No. 16 ranking. If they can keep it within two scores, I think the Horned Frogs will stay in the same general area as they are now — Tyler Wiederhoeft
#2 Oklahoma State
TCU presents the first real test for the defense. At home, I expect them to answer the call — Cory Landes
#1 Oklahoma
WWE legend Ric Flair said it best: "To be the man, you gotta beat the man." Same sentiment for Big 12 football — Brodie Smith
