Oklahoma State Target Sets Commitment Date

Start the countdown.

While Oklahoma State has filled all of it’s available scholarships for the 2019 class, they’re still on commitment watch this week.

The final target, 4-star forward Marcus Watson has announced that he is set to make his commitment on Sunday, Oct. 21st.

Based on Watson’s tweet it looks the decision has come down to Georgia Tech, Oregon, Oklahoma State, and Texas Tech. Those are the Top-4 he named last month.

The timing of his decision makes sense. Watson wrapped up his official visit to Oregon on Oct. 12th after OVs to Texas Tech, Oklahoma State, and Georgia Tech back in September.

Georgia Tech has been the favorite to land the 2nd-ranked player in the state of Georgia for awhile. Yellow Jacket head coach Josh Pastner has made Watson one of their top priority targets. Along with the OV, Watson also made three unofficial visits to the school earlier this year. The two sides obviously have a strong relationship.

For Oklahoma State, there’s still no word on how, if he committed, Watson would be able to get a scholarship. And while landing a player of his caliber would be great, it would be hard to see Boynton let another player walk just to open up a scholarship.

Personally, I think Watson is Georgia Tech bound. But it will certainly be something to look forward to during the football bye-week.
