Logan Simunek gets mic’d up:
At Cowgirl Softball practice yesterday, pitcher Logan Simunek was on the mic. This is something fun that the athletics department has been doing. It started with Jim Knowles and now they’re putting mics on players. Simnunek does everything from singing along to Despacito to chatting it up with her teammates.
Turn your sound up, because @LoganSimunek is mic'd up! #okstate pic.twitter.com/kSkqWth2V0

Report from first basketball practice:
It’s October, which means basketball season is quickly approaching. Cowboy Basketball had their first practice yesterday and talked to the media afterwards. Jimmy Gillispie from the Stillwater Newspress wrote a great article detailing the first practice. Coach Boynton said his focus right now is discipline.
“They’ll see it on my chest when I walk in there,” Boynton said. “Just learning. With young guys, the danger is always they don’t understand the need for discipline. They’ve always been more talented and been able to get by on just being better than the opponent. That’s not the case and there will be many nights when we don’t have the most talented team on the court. That doesn’t mean we can’t have success, but it takes discipline and a certain amount of accountability and pride to execute and be able to overcome a lack of superior talent.”
"Today is about taking taking the steps toward being a champion. It’s a baby step, but a first step in regards to how do we prepare ourselves to win games.” https://t.co/siHiic8GAm

Lindy Waters and Cam McGriff talked about how the Europe trip helped the team:
In this video from OSU Basketball, Lindy Waters and Cam Mcgriff said the Europe trip definitely contributed to them bonding as a team.
“We know a lot more about each other now,” Waters said.
“We have a little bit of a headstart as far as being together as one.” McGriff said.
"We're brothers now."

Former OSU running back Tyreek Hill engaged to woman he plead guilty to assaulting:
Brooke Pryor of the Kansas City Star is reporting that Chiefs receiver and Former OSU running back is engaged to Crystal Espinal, the woman who he plead guilty to assualting in 2014 while she was pregnant with their now 3-year old son, Zev.
After completing the necessary requirements, such as anger management classes and a 52-week batterer’s intervention program, the charges were expunged from his record.
This seems to be a turn in Hill’s life and him and his family have moved on and are happily together in Kansas City.
“It feels good,” Hill said. “Everything feels good. Everything is in order. I’m playing well, my family is great, my family is amazing. I have a great support system. Everything is going well for me.”
“It’s fun,” he said. “I get to go home each and every day and just spend that time with my son. Whether it’s outside throwing the football or whether it’s inside playing Fortnite.
“I enjoy going home each and every day because every day is a challenge for me. Stepping up another notch. I’m trying to be a great father. Not only a great football player, but a tremendous father to my son because I want him to grow up and be better than I was.”
For those that don’t know, Tyreek Hill is back together with his ex-girlfriend from #OKState, the same one involved in the assault. They’re getting married. Story is actually a comeback. More here: https://t.co/dKy2inQE5b https://t.co/u4QgjasJF1
