It’s high noon...

Kevin Tway earns PGA Tour win:

Former Oklahoma State golfer Kevin Tway won the Safeway Open yesterday to grab his first win on the PGA Tour. He would win the tournament in overtime with this exciting putt. What an exciting way to achieve such an accomplishment.

Kevin Monday to go into the UWW Hall of Fame:

Joining the likes of John Smith and Yojiro Uetake as Oklahoma State wrestlers to be named to the United World Wrestling Hall of Fame. He’s also the eighth American to be named. Seth Duckworth of Pistols Firing wrote about what an honor it is.

This is the “Hall of Fame of Hall of Fames” when it comes to wrestling. They have the National Wrestling Hall of Fame in Stillwater that many are aware of — and a number of Cowboys have been inducted into — but this one is on an even higher level. It is probably the most elite club when it comes to the sport of wrestling.

Only six American male wrestlers — John Smith, Leroy Kemp, Bruce Baumgartner, Kevin Jackson, Dave Schultz, and Dan Gable — along with one American female wrestler, Patricia Saunders, have been inducted into the UWW Hall of Fame. A few referees and coaches have made their way in, but only six American men purely for wrestling. Monday will make it seven.

Leyton Hammonds gets off to solid start with Egis Körmend:

With 18 points and 4 rebounds Leyton Hammond made a big contribution to his team’s win on Saturday against Alba Fehervar.
