Four former Oklahoma State wrestlers have a shot at competing in the American Wrestling League after being drafted Saturday night in Iowa City, Iowa.
World champions Kyle Dake and David Taylor selected their 20-person rosters for the Nov. 30 freestyle dual at U.S. Cellular Center in Cedar Rapids, Iowa. The inaugural AWL event will be called “AWL I The Beginning.”
Alex Dieringer (79 kilograms) was the top Cowboy to go in the draft at No. 2 overall to Team Taylor. Anthony Collica (70 kg) joined Dieringer on Taylor’s team. Dieringer is the likely starter over Penn State alum Dan Vallimont, while Collica will compete for a spot with former Iowa standout Brandon Sorenson.
Dake doubled up at 65 kg with two Cowboys in Jordan Oliver and Josh Kindig.
Here are the rosters for both teams:

The dual will be streamed live on Trackwrestling. Tickets for AWL I can be purchased at americanwrestling.org.
