High Noon Highlights (2/16):Boynton talks woes in GIA and more

Welcome to High Noon Highlights, your daily rundown of all the things you might have missed yesterday in Oklahoma State Athletics.

NCAA Basketball: Kansas State at Oklahoma State Rob Ferguson-USA TODAY Sports

Baseball announces starting rotation for opening weekend:

Cowboy Baseball announced their starting rotation when they head down to San Marcos to take on the Texas State Bobcats (a rare move for Holliday this early). RHP Johnathan Heasley will take the bump on Friday, southpaw Blake Basso takes the mound of Saturday and another southpaw will take the mound on Sunday in Mitchell Stone. If this works out for the Pokes this weekend, I expect the lineup will change some the first couple series, but return to this and stick with it if it works.

Boynton talks struggles in GIA:

After Wednesday's terrible game against Kansas State, Mike Boynton took the podium at his press conference and talked the team's home struggles. The team is currently 11-5 on its home court, but they have yet to win a Big 12 game at home that wasn’t on a weekend. Boynton said they just have to figure out to shoot better on their own floor.

Cowgirls have six on Academic All-Big 12 list:

The Cowgirl womens basketball squad has six names on the Academic All-Big 12 list. Jentry Holt, Kaylee Jensen, Mandy Coleman, LaTisha Jones, Karli Wheeler and Jaden Hobbs were all on the list.

Congrats Cowgirls!

Cowboy Golf is No. 1:

They don’t call Oklahoma State #golfschool for nothing. They currently are at the top of the NCAA standings.

That’s all for today folks! Have a great one!
