Eight days ago, 2019 four-star quarterback prospect Grant Gunnell decommitted from Texas A&M.

After his decomittment, rumors started swirling that Oklahoma State could potentially be in on him. That appears to be more than a rumor at this point.
According to 247Sports.com and its crystal ball projection, the Cowboys are currently the favorites to land Gunnell. The second-ranked pro-style quarterback in the 2019 class, Gunnell’s talent is undeniable. He’s elite.

Last week, Texas A&M and LSU were the clear-cut favorites. Oklahoma State was given just an eight percent chance to land Gunnell. Now, eight days later, the Pokes are surging. Makes you wonder what’s being said behind the scenes. Publicly, though, he’s being recruited by current ESPN300 prospect & Oklahoma State commit, Grayson Boomer.

With 39 offers, from the likes of Alabama, Ohio State, Florida State, LSU, and many more, the team that lands Gunnell is getting a star that can contribute on day one.
Gunnell would add to a quarterback room in Stillwater that already features 2018 Gatorade Texas High School Player of the Year, Spencer Sanders. Two uber-talented guys in Stillwater, vying for the top spot, would be quite a sight to see. Let’s hope it comes to fruition.
