After the win over No. 6 Kansas on Saturday, the conversation immediately shifted to Oklahoma State’s NCAA Tournament hopes. With five quadrant one wins, but a few unsavory losses peppered in, the Cowboys find themselves squarely on the bubble headed to the Big 12 Tournament.
Because of that, things could break one way for another for Oklahoma State in the coming days. Without doing anything, the chips could fall in favor of the Cowboys. On the other hand, a win over Oklahoma might not be enough. It’s going to be an exciting week for this program, and is one that we never saw coming.
I asked our Twitter followers what they think Oklahoma State needs to do to crack the NCAA Tournament field of 68. The results were interesting, but not necessarily surprising.
Time to take off the orange shades for a moment... After yesterday’s win over Kansas, what does #okstate need to do to make the NCAA Tournament?

After the Kansas game, I personally thought the Cowboys had done enough, but its starting to look like they might need one more win. I tend to agree with the sentiment that they need a win on Wednesday to feel comfortable, but comfort is a luxury. With a loss, they could find themselves in an NCAA Tournament play-in game. With a win, I expect they could be off that line, and could land as a 12 (a la Oregon in 2012) or 11 seed.
Sound off in the comments below. What do you think it’s going to take for Oklahoma State to go dancing next week?
