Top 40 PG Courtney Ramey commits to Texas

The top player in the state of Missouri, and arguably the top target for Oklahoma State in 2018, has committed to Texas.

The top player in the state of Missouri, Courtney Ramey, has committed to Texas.

Ramey won back-to-back state titles at Webster Groves High School in the St. Louis area, which is notoriously ripe with hoops talent. He averaged over 21 points and six rebounds per game in his senior season.

Ramey’s recruitment has been a bit of a winding road, having been originally committed to Louisville, and then slow-played things before eventually landing in Austin.

It’s a big loss on the recruiting trail for Oklahoma State, but as we wrote a few weeks ago, he won’t make or break the Cowboys in 2018. Texas is getting a good one.
