Cowboys get commitment from 2019 3-star DT Xavier Ross

Mike Boynton isn’t the only coach collecting recruits this week.

The good news just keeps coming down the recruiting pipeline for Oklahoma State Athletics. Just before noon on Saturday, three-star defensive tackle Xavier Ross pledged his commitment to wear the orange and black starting in 2019.

First of all, I would like to thank God for his blessings and allowing me to be in this position. Next I would like to thank my parents for always supporting me no matter the circumstances and guiding me no matter the circumstances and guiding me to become a better person every day.

I would like to thank all my Coaches that have helped me get to this point. I truly appreciate everything you all have done and continue to do for me. You have taught me that EVERYTHING MATTERS and please know I am a firm believer of that.

To my teammates thank you all for pushing me every day to become a better athlete. The endless conversations and laughs pulls us together and brings us closer to our goals. I love every single one of you and we will always be brothers till the very end. #TTHL

This recruiting process has been and continues to be a very exciting time in my life. With that said, I am blessed to announce that for the next chapter of my life I will be continuing my academics and football career at Oklahoma State University !!! #CowboyUp19✔️ #GoPokes

Ross is a 3-star prospect out of Cedar Hill, Texas, according to 247sports.

The 6-3, 285 lb tackle visited Oklahoma State on April 27. He picked the Cowboys over Indiana, Baylor, Purdue, Air Force, FIU and Louisiana-Lafayette.

Ross is the sixth member of the Cowboys’ 2019 class, and will join Joe Bob Clements’ line.
