The Gophers finished just ahead of Brad Underwood’s Illini in the Big 10 standings last year with a 4-14 conference record and 15-17 overall. Minnesota returns two of its top three scorers from last season along with three of its top five in minutes per game.
While Minnesota might not be the RPI darling that Cowboy fans might want to see after getting snubbed from last years NCAA’s, it is still a notable series based on location, and scheduling a fellow power five team is never a bad thing.
