While the rest of the recruiting class of 2018 moved in last week, one of the highest-profile recruits in the class in Tulsa Union’s C.J. Moore is still at home, according to a story from NewsOK.com.

According to NewsOK and GoPokes.com, Moore is “finalizing his academic situation” and is planning on joining the team on July 5. Moore is one of the crown jewels of Mike Gundy’s 2018 recruiting class, and his absence could be a potential cause for concern. Moore will now have less time to acclimate before fall camp, giving his teammates a head start.
Academic issues are nothing to mess with. While nobody outside their realm truly knows the extent of what is going on, it will be interesting to see what happens come July.
