BREAKING: Oklahoma State to start beer sales in sport venues fall 2018

It is a glorious day.

Oklahoma State Athletics has announced that starting fall 2018 it will begin the sale of beer in athletic venues.

“There’s always challenges and concerns that come with anything that you’re doing that is new,” Said Deputy Athletic Director Chad Weiberg. “This is one that we have not entered into lightly.”

With beer sales, Oklahoma State has also introduced a no re-entry policy to Boone Pickens Stadium. Gallagher-Iba arena already had no re-entry.

The change comes after beer sales were piloted in Allie P. Reynolds Stadium and Cowgirl Softball Complex.

This will be the first time in Oklahoma State history for beer to be sold in athletic venues.

Oklahoma State joins West Virginia and the University of Texas as Big 12 schools that sell beer in their football stadiums.
