Friday Mailbag (7/26): Running backs, uniforms and the basketball Europe trip

You asked, I answered.

Oklahoma v Oklahoma State

Today’s mailbag is a collection of things from basketball recruiting to uniform talk. There’s a little bit of everything. You guys had some great questions this week.

With that, let’s get started:

In my opinion yes. They are by far the unit that I think is the most solid going into the season. They return their key player from last season as well as bring in some new blood with Chuba Hubbard being able to play this year. I mean just Justice Hill returning is huge for this group. When have the conference rushing leader from the previous season you have to think that’s the most solid group on your team.

Is J.D. King Human?

No. He’s some sort of super beast like Godzilla or King Kong. They’re eventually going to run out of weights for him and he’s just going to casually lift BPS off of the ground. The things he’s doing in weight room are not human. I cannot wait to watch him run defenders into the ground this upcoming season.

If you know anything about Cowboys Ride For Free, you know we love some uniforms. I love this question. Having grown up a Texas fan (I know, please don’t judge me. I converted.) I’m going to have to go with Texas’ all whites. First off, I really like their white helmets. Then there’s just something about the white and burnt orange that is just so clean. To be honest though I like the “stormtrooper” all white look in general. I’m a sucker for the icy whites. I also had to go with the other orange team in the Big 12.

I haven’t seen any information being put out about that so I would say probably not. But I’m sure Orange Power Studios will be putting out highlight videos.

I’m going to say trending up. I think by this time we have a quarterback for the season officially picked out, we’ve pulled out the win and the team is starting to take shape. This is going to be an important game though. At the end of it I think we have a lot of answers and things are looking up.

A solid B+. Boynton has done a FANTASTIC job in my opinion. He went out and got Michael Cunningham, Maurice Calloo, Issac Likekele and a big man in Kentravious Jones. Curtis Jones was also a solid get. Overall I think that Boynton got everything he needed. The only reason I can’t give him an A is because this class doesn’t include the Boone twins.

I’m gonna say 2020 shooting guard Bryce Thompson. He’s a four-star that plays with the Boone twins. Another one is Avery Anderson, a 2019 four star shooting guard who had an official visit last month.

Thanks to everyone who sent in questions. Keep thinking for more for next week.
