It was first reported yesterday by Pistol Firing’s Kyle Boone that Blake Barron had suffered a freak injury at practice. Sources told PFB that Barron suffered the injury on Wednesday during practice and would undergo an MRI Friday morning to assess the damage.
Boone is now reporting that results of the MRI are a torn ACL and MCL. Sources told Boone that Barron will wait three weeks for surgery for the swelling to go down. He will likely sit this season and try to redshirt.
This is not the news Oklahoma State fans (or Barron) wanted. But we’re wishing him the best in his recovery and hope he comes back better than ever.
We’ll continue to up this story as we know more.
