Countdown to kick-off: 3 Uniform Combinations Oklahoma State Should Pull Out of Their Bag in 2018

What should the Pokes wear this year?

Over the past few seasons the Cowboys have become more creative with their jersey combos and designs. This is largely because it’s what the recruits want to see. Even Notre Dame tries to pull something out once a year. Some schools will never change their jerseys significantly and that’s ok, however, it’s always cool to see what Oklahoma State pulls out of their bag on gameday. Here are three uniform combinations I’d like to see in 2018:

1. White/Black/White

The Pokes ended their 2018 campaign with this combination in their bowl game. I love the helmet in this combo and I’d like to see it once or twice this season. The most important thing with these combos is not over using them. The Pokes have so many options that no one combo should be used more than twice in a season. With that being said, I wouldn’t mind seeing this combo, or at least the helmet, twice this season.

2. White/Orange/White

I need more brand! I love every OSU helmet, but the brand seems to have lost some love over the years. The badge was dominant last season while the brand didn’t make an appearance until Bedlam. This combo competes with the triple white and chrome Pete combo for cleanest looking uniform. This is the other combo I’d like to see twice this season. With 7 (!!) home games this year, the Pokes should fit this in at least once.

3. White/White/White

I know I just mentioned this combo but this one should appear on the road every year. It doesn’t get any cleaner than an all white and chrome look. I’ve never been a fan of wearing a white top with colored pants, so naturally this i one of my favorite road combos. OSU wore this combo against Baylor in 2016 and West Virginia in 2017, both road games. I think these would look clean in Amon G. Carter stadium against TCU the weekend before Thanksgiving, but that’s just me.

Bonus: Something New

Last year the Cowboys surprised us on opening night with a look we had never seen before. I would love for them to do the same thing this season. We know we’ll get a new helmet for homecoming, but it would be cool if OSU got in their bag and pulled out something stunning for week 1 like they did last season.
