High Noon Highlights(8/6): Weekend recap

Welcome to High Noon Highlights, a place to catch up on everything you missed in Oklahoma State Athletics.

It’s high noon...

The Hill brothers tease race video:

Justice Hill was asked by the Tulsa World’s Guerin Emig about a race with younger brother Dax Hill. Hill replied saying they had done a race and there was a video, but it would be coming out later.

Justice said they did two or three 40- yard races and he swept them. I for one, cannot wait to see this video.

According to a teaser video tweeted out yesterday by Matt Shyers, the video will be released August 24.

Whether or not this will end up being Dax’s commitment video is yet to be seen. Regardless it will be fun to watch. If it does end up being his commitment, I think it’s awesome he got his older brother involved.

Could James Washington start for the Steelers in 2018?:

Pro Football Talk released an article over the weekend with a list of under the radar rookies to watch. Former Cowboy James Washington makes that list after impressing at fall camp. He lead the nation in deep pass recetions with 20 and deep pass yardage with 815 in his senior year at Oklahoma State. He was also winner of the Biletnikoff Award that year. Mike Johnson writes:

Washington’s speed plays well on the field, especially his ability to maintain it in and out of his cuts, so look for the rookie to make some flash plays in camp and throughout the preseason.

Get to know the Wallace Twins:

KFOR’s Nate Feken caught up with Tracin and Tylan Wallace during Oklahoma State Media Day on Saturday, They talked wanting to play college football together, the bond they have and their competitiveness. This interview was fun and a great watch.

Oklahoma State Basketball explores Venice:

OSU Men’s b\Basketball is currently on the trip of a lifetime exploring Italy. They were in Venice over the weekend and Oklahoma State Basketball released a video recapping their adventures.

It looks like coach Boynton and his team are having a blast with boat rides and exploring before they start to put in work with their exhibition games.

Coach Carmichael talks preseason soccer:

Reigning Big 12 Champions Oklahoma State soccer have started their practices for the season. In this interview Coach Carmichael talks the excitement for a new season and details the progress the Cowgirls have made with their first exhibition match set for Friday against Mizzou in Kansas City.

That’s all for today folks!
