Oklahoma State fans don’t just have the season opener against Missouri State to look forward to at the end of August.
Three-star defensive end Trace Ford announced on Twitter Wednesday, that he will make his commitment on Friday, August 31st, the day after OSU’s season opener.

While the Cowboys already have two defensive ends committed for the 2019 class, in talented Israel Isuman-Hundley and under-rated Kody Walterscheid, the Cowboys are looking to add one more to the class, with Ford their top target.
Ford previously announced his top-8 a couple months ago, which included Oklahoma State, Baylor, Arkansas, Oregon, Florida State, Cal, Arizona State, and Harvard. While he hasn’t given any inclination as to where he’s leaning, as of now Oklahoma State and Arkansas feel like the two leaders in the club house, with Baylor and Oregon just behind them. 247Sports has the Cowboys favored.
The three-star prospect is ranked as the sixth-best player in the state of Oklahoma. Not only would landing him be a big win for OSU on the recruiting trail, it would bring their total number of top-10 in-state commits to three, with the potential to still add a fourth in Dax Hill.
As a junior, Ford finished with 40 tackles, 7 tackles for loss, 1 sack, 5 pass breakups and 5 forced fumbles.
