Xavier Player opened up about his commitment to OSU before leading Cibolo Steele to victory and Jayden Jernigan and the Allen defense smothered Coppell. See how everyone else did in week five.
Brendan Costello, Quarterback
A heartbreaking season continued for the San Clemente Tritons last week with a 21-20 loss to the Corona Del Mar Sea Kings. Friday night’s result was the third loss of three points or less for the Tritons as they were dropped to 1-4 on the season.
Costello had a good night with 151 yards on 12/18 passing. The dual-threat added 84 yards on 13 carries and a touchdown on the ground. He struggled to get much going after jumping out to a 14-0 lead in the first quarter.
After a 39-yd pass to Cian Smith, Brendan Costello runs it in for a San Clemente touchdown. San Clemente 14, Corona del Mar 0 with 2:47 left in the 1st. @ocvarsity @Tritonfootball

Here are the highlights from the first three games of Costello’s senior season. This video displays just how well Costello can throw the deep ball
Thomas Harper, Athlete
The Karns Beavers got roped yet again last week, this time a 70-14 loss to Fulton. Karns didn’t provide stats this week, but it is safe to say that Harper probably played a significant role in any offensive traction that the Beavers got, especially through the eyes of this guy.
Karns vs Fulton.... make that Harper vs Fulton

Jayden Jernigan, Defensive Tackle
Jernigan helped the Allen Eagle defense shut out a good Coppell team 21-0. The game ended at halftime due to weather concerns, but the Eagle defense still let up just 83 yards (29 rushing) to get the win.
