4-star 2019 guard Avery Anderson commits to Oklahoma State

Boynton added another huge piece to his 2019 class.

Mike Boynton followed through on an early morning tease on Twitter on Tuesday, by locking up the commitment of the Cowboys’ top target to fill their remaining open scholarship for 2019.

4-star guard Avery Anderson out of Northwest (TX) High School announced his commitment to Oklahoma State via his Twitter account.

The 4-star combo guard joins the in-state Boone twins — Kalib and Keylan — in the Cowboys class, bringing the ranking to No. 1 in the Big 12 and No. 9 nationally.

Anderson chose the Cowboys over offers from six other schools, including LSU, Florida and TCU. The Cowboys were favored in the 24/7 crystal ball predictions through most of his recruitment.

Barring a transfer, this complete’s the Cowboys’ 2019 recruiting class, with no remaining available scholarships to offer. But what a class it is. Anderson is the Cowboys’ second 4-star recruit joining Kalib. The 6-2, 170-pound guard is an ESPN Top-100 recruit who can play both on and off the ball, and should be able to contribute immediately next season.

Oklahoma State fans, get excited about the future of Cowboy Basketball. Boynton has been insane on the recruiting trail.
