It’s high noon...

Mike Gundy talks with Doug Gottlieb:

Mike Gundy joined fellow Oklahoma State alum Doug Gottlieb Fox Sports Radio to talk Oklahoma State’s win over Boise State.

Gottlieb asked Gundy how close the game went to his prediction.

“I would like to say real close,” Gundy said. “But I didn’t think that we could slow their running game down a much as we did. I was really concerned about their ability to rush the football. They have essentially everyone back on offense and they’re really good run blockers. That shocked me.”

(I was shocked too coach,)

Kalib Boone talks to 24/7 sports:

After him and his twin brother Keylan’s official visit over the weekend, Kalib Boone sat down with 24/7 sports to talk about it. As well as their relationship with coach Boynton.

Our “official visit was great,” said Kalib Boone, 6-8, 190-pound wing/center. “It was a great family time, a great time to get familiar with the campus, our future home, my teammates and the atmosphere of the places. Get to know the place where I might live, the places where I might go to have fun and all that and it was a great opportunity and a great time to be (in Stillwater).”

You might be thinking that because they’re already committed, so why does it matter? Because, until they sign their names on the dotted line in November, nothing’s official and it only helps the coaching staff solidify those bonds.

Boone said what impressed him most about coach Boyton was he wasn’t a salesman,

“Coach Boynton is a really great guy,” said Boone. “The one thing I knew and noticed when I first met him was that he’s not a salesman. This dude has a plan, he has a goal and he ain’t going to tell me a lie because when I was at the NBPA camp, they taught me that they’re salesman, coaches are salesman. They’ll only use you so that they can get what they need towards the end and coach Boynton’s not like that.
