After a 58-17 win over Missouri State, the Cowboys look to keep their season-record perfect against the South Alabama Jaguars when they come into Boone Pickens Stadium. Taylor Cornelius will look to redeem himself after not looking great last week despite the five-touchdown performance.

Get to Know the South Alabama Jaguars:

The Jaguars are 0-1 after a close 30-26 loss to Louisiana Tech in week one. They struggled to find a passing game with only 91 yards through the air from three different quarterbacks. Because of that, there’s something of a QB controversy heading into this week. They do have a wide receiver on the Biletnikoff Award watch list in Jamarius Way. He had five receptions for 66 yards against Oklahoma State last year. The senior will be one to watch. They also have a punter on the watch list for the Ray Guy Award inCorliss Waitman, who averaged 48.43 yards a punt against OSU last year.

What to Watch For: Oklahoma State:

Look for Cornelius and how much better — or worse — he looks this week. I’m also looking forward to seeing what Gundy will do if Corn Dog struggles. Does he go ahead and use one of the four games available for Brown? Or does he use Wudtee to try to get us through the game. I also look to see if they switch up the O-line a lot again or if they’ll to get a line set and stick with it. I would really like see if they let Justice rest a little and play some of the other backs more. Also, I really like Chuba on kick returns I expect him to take it to the house at least once.

Last Time They Played:

It was a 44-7 victory for the Cowboys last year in Mobile. The Cowboys took care of business, not letting the Jaguars until very late in the 4th quarter. The Jaguars struggled through the air with only nine yards passing and had a measly 12 total first downs. They also only had 41 rushing yards compared to Oklahoma State’s 161 yards on the ground.

Prediction:

I think this games is more of the same as the last time these two teams played. The Pokes are ready for them and it’s another lopsided victory. 56-14 Cowboys.
