After being dismissed from the Oklahoma State men’s basketball program last week due to an alleged vandalism incident in Stillwater, freshman forward Maurice Calloo committed to transfer to Cleveland State.

Calloo along with classmate Kentravious Jones and sophomore guard Michael Weathers were reportedly involved in an Jan. 1 incident that caused $5,500 worth of damage to two vehicles. All three players were dismissed from the team. The Stillwater Police Department is still investigating.

Calloo averaged 2.5 points and 1.6 rebounds per game in 10.8 minutes per contests for the Cowboys before his dismal.

The Vikings are currently 5-16 and 0-8 in Horizon League play this season. Calloo will sit out for the rest of this season and at least the start of next season due to NCAA transfer rules.

Calloo joins Mike Cunningham as the second player this year to transfer from OSU. The graduate transfer point guard Cunningham will “pursue professional opportunities,” according to CBS Sports.

OSU head coach Mike Boynton also said Monday that he intends to add “five or six” walk-ons from the team open tryouts last Thursday to bolster the practice squad. The positions of those players is unknown.

Jones and Weathers have yet to announce plans to transfer.
