Cowboy linebacker Patrick Macon announced on Twitter this morning that he intends to transfer from Oklahoma State and play his final season elsewhere.

Macon came to Oklahoma State from Arizona Western College, where he was the NJCAA Defensive Player of the Year in 2016. That season he had 122 tackles, 27.5 tackles for loss, nine forced fumbles, and nine sacks. He took a redshirt for the 2017 season, and looked to make an impact at linebacker this past season. Unfortunately, his season was lost in fall camp with a foot injury that cost him the whole 2018 season. He never saw the field as a Cowboy, but I’m sure there is a team that will give him that opportunity in 2019.
We wish Patrick nothing but the best at his next school and know he will succeed in his future endeavors!
