It’s high noon...
Liberty Bowl gets high rankings:
CBS Sports has ranked the Liberty Bowl between Mizzou and Oklahoma State was No.5 on CBS’ ranking of all 39 bowl games.
Here’s what they had to say about the game.
Man, watching this game you started to wish Missouri was still in the Big 12 so we could see this matchup every season. It was a video game for the most part, as the two teams combined for 1,139 yards of offense and nine touchdowns, but of course, it was Oklahoma State’s defense forcing a turnover on downs in the final minutes that ultimately decided the game. {CBS}
College Football News also ranked all of the bowls from 2018. In these Ranking the Liberty Bowl came in at No.7.
Here’s what they had to say.
It turned to be what was expected with plenty of points, lots of big plays from the offensive stars, and a good late rally. Missouri bombed away with touchdown passes from 86 and 55 yards out in the fourth, but the Cowboys were able to hang on. The two teams combined for 1,139 yards of total offense.
Charles Howell’s triumphant return to the field:
Former Oklahoma State golfer Charles Howell III has had his fair share of difficulties during his career in the PGA. Now, after 4,292 days without a win, will return to the field in the Sentry Tournament of Champions. Despite all the challenges, he told Golf Channel that there’s nothing he would change.
“I wouldn’t [trade careers with Daly]. As painful as that is to say, because he’s won majors. I am proud of the consistency I’ve had and the finishes I’ve had,” Howell said. “When I went to Oklahoma State I wanted to see how good I could be. But if you’d have said, ‘Charles you’re going to have a 20-year career on the PGA Tour,’ I would have signed up in a heartbeat for that.” {Golf Channel}
Morgan Hoffman is engaged:
