Tre Sterling lands on Pro Football Focus team team of the week:S
Another Oklahoma State defensive player landed on another list after a great outing on Saturday. Safety Tre Sterling got on Pro Football Focus’ team of the week.
Sterling and the Cowboys secondary put the clamps on the Iowa State passing attack late in the contest against the Cyclones as Sterling finished the outing with just a 39.6 passer rating into his primary coverage. He was targeted six times, allowed four receptions for just 31 yards including zero yards after the catch. He made an interception and has two pass breakups in the contest while also making nine solo tackles and two defensive stops in the game. {Pro Football Focus}
Barry Sanders was one-of-a-kind:
Barry Sanders was a one-of-a-kind running back for the Lions back in the day. There has never been, nor will there ever be, another runner with the kind of jaw-dropping ability to embarrass defenders and leave them grasping at armfuls of air with the flair that Sanders did for a decade in Detroit.
In the half-century since 1970’s AFL-NFL merger, not only does he average the highest yards per carry, but he’s got a quarter-yard cushion {SB Nation}
