It’s high noon...

The growth of Trace Ford:

Two years ago, Trace Ford felt out of place. Football was starting to feel like a waste of time.

He might as well focus on baseball instead of standing on Edmond Santa Fe High School’s sideline each Friday night.

He could hit a ball 450 feet. He could run like the wind on the basepaths.

Baseball was his first love anyway.

But to take a different path, sometimes a push is needed. This particular one came from a midseason conversation with Edmond Santa Fe defensive coordinator Chris Rose.

“I told him what I needed,” Rose said. “We always knew he could run a little bit and do a few things, but he had to learn how to practice.”

There was hope the conversation would lead to big things. Now, Ford is a key part of Oklahoma State’s defense six games into his career. {The Oklahoman}

Jeter looking at transfer options:

GoPokes.com broke the news yesterday the running back Jahmyl Jeter has entered the transfer portal. Gundy confirmed the news after practice yesterday.

“Yeah, he’s practicing but he is in the (transfer) portal,” answered Gundy. “It’s like the NFL, if you don’t like it and you’re not playing then just ask to be traded. He’s practicing but he wanted to see who wants to re-recruit him.” {GoPokes}
